In the first four months of 2009 Estonian Air
carried altogether 168,116 passengers, 148,606 of these on regular
flights. The total number of passengers decreased 26.4% y-o-y, and
27% on regular flights.
In April 2009 Estonian Air carried 45,972 passengers, 42,965 of these on regular flights. The total
number of passengers decreased 31.7%, and 31.7% on regular
flights.
In the first four months the market share of Estonian Air in
the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 43.2% which is
1.3 percentage points lower y-o-y. The total market share (regular
and charter flights) was 40.4%, which is 1.1 percentage points
lower y-o-y.
In April the market share of Estonian Air in
the regular flights segment at Tallinn Airport was 45.3%, which is
1.7 percentage points lower y-o-y. The total market share (regular
and charter flights) was 41.1%, which is 2.1 percentage points
lower y-o-y.
In the first four months Estonian Air
operated 3,194 flights, which is 21.8% less flights y-o-y. In March
Estonian Air operated 846 flights, which is 25.1% less flights
y-o-y.
Estonian Air is one of the most punctual air
carriers in Europe. In the first four months the regularity of
Estonian Air was 98.4% and the 15-minute punctuality was 91.2%. In
April the regularity and punctuality were 98.7% and 93.6%
respectively.
Estonian Air, founded on 1 December
1991, offers direct flights from the Estonian capital, Tallinn
throughout Europe: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels,
Copenhagen, Dublin, Dubrovnik, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, London,
Milan, Minsk, Moscow, Munich, Oslo, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and
Vilnius.
In addition, from Tallinn to Kuressaare and from
Kuressaare and Pärnu to Stockholm.
In spring 2007 Estonian Air
established a subsidiary company Estonian Air Regional which
operates Estonian Air’s domestic and short-haul flights to
neighbouring regions.
Estonian Air carried 756,795 passengers
in 2008. The airline is owned by the SAS Group, the State of
Estonia and the Estonian investment bank Cresco.
