At last week’s ITB Asia, which was held October
20 to 23 in Singapore, Aston International introduced seven new
hotels and resorts in Bali as well as a 4 star resort on the East
Indonesian Island of Ambon.
The seven new Bali properties - of which three
are already in the soft opening stage and four due to open between
October 2009 and June 2010, will add more than 700 rooms and
villas to Aston’s existing 6 Bali properties making Aston
International the largest hotel group in Bali.
The new properties
will cover a wide array of standards and budgets and range from
top end luxury villas in Nusa Dua under the “Royal Kamuela” brand
to a newly conceptualized and trendy 2 star hotel in Bali’s
capital city of Denpasar.
The new hotels and
villas already operating are the 45 room “100 Sunset Boutique
Hotel by Aston” which opened in May this year, the 206 room 4 star
“Aston Kuta Hotel and Residence” which opened in September and the
267 room 4 star “Bali Kuta Resort by Aston” which opened in
October.
New hotels due to open on time for next
year’s summer season are the 96 room “Aston at Grand Kuta, the 38
private pool villa “Royal Kamuela Nusa Dua”, the 12 villa “Royal
Kamuela at Monkey Forest” in Ubud and the 105 room 2 star “favehotel
Denpasar”.
In addition, Aston who already operates
one of the islands largest Convention Hotels - The Aston Denpasar
Hotel & Convention Center, plans to develop a free standing
Convention Center with a capacity for 2500 delegates adjacent to
the recently opened Bali Kuta Resort by Aston and envisions to
become Bali’s leading provider for the MICE market.
Besides Aston’s undiminished confidence in Bali the company
also aims to develop tourism on the tropical island paradise of
Ambon, 1500 km East of Bali and opened the 96 room 4 star “Aston
Natsepa Ambon Resort and Conference Center” in August this year.
The new Aston Resort in Ambon will be the islands first truly up
market international resort and has already attracted European and
Australian Tour Operators eager to develop new destinations.
Aston
entered the Indonesian market in the late nineties and has a
portfolio of 40 properties including hotels,
resorts, serviced apartments and boutique villa resorts, of which
20 are operational and 20 under development due to open between
now and 2011.
