India’s Jet Airways has launched daily flights
between Sharjah in the UAE and Kochi in India. The new service is
operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The new flight complements the
airline’s existing daily services on the Kochi- Doha, Kuwait and
Muscat sectors.
Following the launch of Jet Airways’
services on the Hyderabad-Dubai sector on August 16, 2009, the
Kochi-Sharjah flights are also Jet Airways’ eighth daily
service to the UAE from India.
The airline currently
flies twice daily to Dubai from Mumbai and daily from Delhi and
Chennai; and also operates daily services to Abu Dhabi from Delhi
and Mumbai respectively.
Effective September 1, 2009 to
October 24, 2009 and from March 28, 2010 to October 30, 2010,
flight 9W 562 will depart Kochi at 10:45, arriving in Sharjah
at 13:05. Flight 9W 561 will then depart Sharjah at 14:15,
arriving in Kochi at 19:45.
However, effective October
25, 2009 to March 27, 2010, flight 9W 562 will depart Kochi at
10:45, arriving in Sharjah at 13:25. Flight 9W 561 will then
depart Sharjah at 14:25, arriving in Kochi at 19:45.
