After the recent launch of charter flights
between Taipei and Shizuoka in Japan, China Airlines is to
inaugurate charter flights from Kaohsiung to Shizuoka.
From July 2 to September 28, the new
service, CI-7726 / CI-7727, will fly between Kaohsiung and
Shizuoka every fifth day, for a total of 23 round trips.
CAL is cooperating with
travel agencies to provide favorable packages to accompany the
flights, with special rates for a five-day, four-night package to
Shizuoka and Tokyo starting at NT$ 31,800.
The July 2 maiden
flight from Kaohsiung to Shizuoka will depart at 09:30, and arrive
in Shizuoka at 13:55. The flight time is about 3 hours and 25
minutes.
CAL will operate a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a total
of 158 economy-class seats on the service.
Shizuoka is
located in central Japan, facing the famous Mt. Fuji, and has
abundant natural scenery including Suruga Bay, Lake Hamanako and
Kuno-san Tosho-gu Shrine. It is also famous as the home town of
the cartoon character ‘Sakura Maruko’. Shizuoka has many hot
springs as well, including Atami, Ito, and Shuzen-ji, along with
other sightseeing and relaxation attractions.
