Jet Airways and ICICI Lombard General Insurance launch JetProtect

India’s Jet Airways and ICICI Lombard General Insurance have collaborated to launch an overseas and domestic travel insurance product called JetProtect which offers security against possible risks during travel. JetProtect can only be purchased on Jet Airways’ website.

The overseas and domestic travel insurance policy covers a host of situations such as medical expenses caused by accidents, possible loss from trip cancellation, loss or delay of checked in baggage, compassionate visit by a relative in case of illness and much more.

The insurance policy can be purchased on the airline website simultaneously while booking flight tickets. In case a Jet Airways ticket has already been purchased through any other channel, customers have the option of purchasing insurance by visiting the ‘Purchase Policy’ section under ‘Plan Your Travel’ on the airline’s website. The e-policy is issued instantly without any paperwork with immediate confirmation via email and sms. Policy servicing such as changes or extensions can be submitted online and claims can be intimated 24x7 on a toll free number.

‘Jet Protect’ covers claims arising out of acts of terrorism. It also includes a special cover to protect the customers’ home against the risk of burglary or fire while the airline customer is travelling in India.
