Horizon International Flight Academy (HIFA),
wholly owned by Mubadala Development Company, has said it will
continue to expand its training programmes to support and meet the
demands of the aviation industry.
The academy’s General Manager, Mohammed Humaidan
Al Zaabi said, “Though our primary focus is to offer high standard
flight training for military, corporate and civil customers and to
fill the gap for helicopter training across the Middle East, we
strive to constantly expand our training courses.”
“In fact by 2016, we aim to offer undergraduate
degree programs in the field of aviation, to offer internationally
certified qualifications in the UAE to ensure that we develop a
pipeline of local talent to support the region’s rapidly growing
aviation industry.”
Currently chosen by Etihad Airways as the flight
training academy for their cadet program, the academy also
provides courses for private pilot licenses, commercial pilot
licenses, air transport pilot licenses and flight instructor
courses, using Bell helicopters and Cessna airplanes.
