Best Western International's Asia head office has appointed Tajara Leisure and Hospitality Group as the Best Western Area Developer for
the Philippines. Tajara Leisure is a company with a proven track record of hospitality and leisure consulting services
and has a lot of experience with respect to new hotel and resort projects,
guiding clients through strategic planning and development process, helping design property plans that appeals to the lifestyle
needs of a target market.
“The Philippines has a lot of travel and tourism potential. Its colorful festivals, reputation for hospitality, infrastructure development, and
richness of its culture boosts the increased arrivals yearly. An aggressive promotional campaign and shift to focused destinations has
helped boost the Philippine tourism sector,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western Vice President
- International Operations Asia.
“In Asia, which is the fastest growing region for Best Western Hotels, we have 123 properties which are in various stages of rebranding,
refurbishment and construction. The brand has positioned itself in Asia as the upscale hotels and resorts to suit the hospitality and tourism
culture of the region. Currently operating 2 hotels in Manila, with the partnership with Tajara Leisure, we expect to add another 10 hotels in
key locations in the Philippines to achieve our goal to have 200 hotels within 2010,”
