Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific has
appointed Lawrence Lee as vice-president of human resources, commencing 1 February 2008.
As part of his new appointment, he will also be a member of Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific's executive committee.
Lawrence, a Singaporean, is a seasoned human resources professional with
18 years in the hospitality industry and has extensive experience in human resource development and management at both a strategic and global level.

Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific. "As we embark on our rapid expansion in this region, we need to develop sound human resource strategies
that will attract, retain and develop high quality employees, who believe in service quality and customer focus, with an emphasis on solid
results."
Lawrence joins Carlson from Jin Jiang International Hotel Management Co,
where he served as
senior vice-president of human resources. He developed key human resource strategies and programmes to support the
internationalisation of the company, leading to its successful IPO on the
Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as well as joint talent development programs with the Les Roches Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College based in Shanghai.
Lawrence's previous experience includes his appointment as the human resources group director for Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. In
addition to leading the global human resources function for Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, he developed and implemented the Swissotel
eUniversity programme in collaboration with eCornell. This distance-learning platform enabled employees worldwide to avail themselves of
quality management training over the Internet.
Lawrence has lived and worked in Singapore, Shanghai and Zurich. He is married with a seven-year-old son.
