Continental Airlines
is sponsoring the UNITY: Journalists of Color, Inc.’s UNITY ’08 Convention, to be held July 23-27, 2008, at McCormick
Place West in Chicago.
Nearly 10,000 journalists are expected to attend the UNITY ’08 Convention, a collaborative effort between UNITY’s four alliance associations,
the Asian American Journalists Association, the National Association of Black Journalists, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists
and the Native American Journalists Association that occurs every four years.
“Continental’s sponsorship of UNITY is a natural next step from our four-year relationship as Official Events Airline of the National
Association of Hispanic Journalists,” said Ned Walker, senior vice president - worldwide corporate communications, Continental Airlines.
“As a global airline, we applaud UNITY’s efforts to advocate for fair and accurate news coverage about our nation’s diverse residents.”

Continental offers daily nonstop service to 76 Latin American and Caribbean destinations. The airline serves
31 destinations in
Mexico and 10 cities in Central
America. The airline’s Latin American and Caribbean service comprises 55%
of the airline’s international
operations.
The
airline also flies nonstop to 24 Asian destinations, including eight cities in Japan. Asian destinations
comprise 18% of Continental’s international operations.
