PATA
President and CEO Peter de Jong has had his request for an earlier departure date
from the association approved. Mr de Jong will now leave PATA on October 17, 2008,
after seven years at the helm.
Mr de Jong
said, "I leave with a genuine sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. These have been among the most rewarding years of my career -- indeed, of
my life."
In order to best manage this short transition period, the
association's immediate Past Chairman Brian Deeson has been appointed Interim
President and CEO,
effective in October and until the CEO selection process has been completed.
