Citibank China launches Expanded Services in Support of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games

Citibank China is now offering an expanded array of services designed to meet the banking needs of visitors to the Olympics, both from China and beyond.

Anand Selva, Executive Vice President of Citibank (China) Co., Ltd. said, “As the most global international bank operating in China, Citibank understands the particular needs of both business travelers and tourists when it comes to remote financial services. We hope that the services being launched will help fulfill the financial needs of our valued customers coming to the Olympics from around China and all over the world.”

Key elements of the expanded offering include:

• As part of Citibank’s Citigold offering, international Citigold clients can use any Citigold center in China free-of-charge during their stay, including the lounge, meeting rooms, and telecommunication devices such as telephone, fax and internet. Simply by dialing the toll-free international hotline 800-2484-2633, overseas Citigold clients can directly reach Citibank’s 24-hour toll-free hotline in their home countries and handle account operations, ensuring they can manage their wealth with ease while abroad.

In addition, Citigold clients can enjoy preferential exchange rates and emergency cash withdrawal services. In case of any emergencies such as losing a wallet, after identity verification, Citigold clients can withdraw up to US$ 10,000 or equivalent amount in local currency from their accounts in the home country at Citibank’s Citigold center in China, for emergency use.

• From now until September 20th, 2008, foreign exchange services including US$, JPY, HK$ and EUR will become available to non-Citibank clients, with the maximum exchange limit raised to US$ 5,000 or equivalent. In addition, the cap for exchange of traveler’s cheques (including American Express and Citibank) will be increased to US$ 5,000 or equivalent.

• From August 1st to September 20th, all branches and sub-branches will open dedicated windows for Olympic visitors. In consideration of the number of tourists to the host cities, Citibank will also extend its business hours and provide counter services on Saturday’s in selected outlets.

• As one of the international banks with the highest number of ATMs in China, Citibank operates 38 ATMs in Beijing. These ATMs support 14 languages for the convenience of international visitors and tourists. Citi China will monitor these ATM's to ensure that they have sufficient cash and function normally 24x7.

• Customers and visitors can call the Citibank service hotline 24x7 in China 800-830-1880 for inquiries regarding their financial services requirements and/or access our Citibank online website to get more details related to the Olympics services, branch and ATM locations and other details.

• Finally, Citibank has put teams in place across cities with foreign language capabilities, including Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, and Cantonese to support various language requests. All branch customer service staff speak English.
