Hilton Hotels has appointed seasoned industry professional, Peter Simson, as General Manager of Hilton Kuching, a
five-star hotel in the city, and Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort, Hiltons only jungle resort located 275km from the city centre of
Kuching.
With nearly
20 years experience in the hospitality industry, Mr Simson joins Hilton Kuching and Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort from Hilton
Colombo Residence in Sri Lanka where he served as General Manager for six years. Prior to that, Mr Simsons career spanned various properties
across the globe, from his native United Kingdom to France, Turkey, India, South Africa, Australia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
Amongst his impressive achievements include the successful repositioning of Hilton Colombo Residence, leading Hilton Sydney through the
Olympics, opening Hilton Sandton in South Africa and converting a four-star hotel to a five-star Hilton International in Delhi, India.
Having worked
with Hilton Hotels for almost 17 years, Mr Simson has extensive experience across all departmental functions, a passion for service
excellence and a keen eye for detail.
In his new role, Mr Simson will
lead 500 team members across the two hotels with a total of 415 rooms and eight food and beverage outlets.
