The
Hilton Sanya Resort and Spa has appointed Jesper Bach Larsen, formerly Director of
Operations at the hotel, as Director of Business Development.
Jesper
joined the Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa team last year as Director of Operations and
has demonstrated his skills to move the resort operations forward to the next level, particularly in
the area of guest services and hardware improvements. With his solid commercial drive,
Jesper will be a strong asset to the resorts business development team to continue its
successful business strategy.
Before joining Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa, Jesper worked at Hilton Shanghai and Hilton Copenhagen
Airport. A Danish native, Jesper has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry.
The
Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa features a total of 501 guestrooms, suites and villas. It commands a prime location on 400 m of unspoilt beach
front at the western end of Yalong Bay, a 30-minute drive from the city of Sanya and the international airport. The average room size
is 48.5 sqm, with over 70% of the rooms overlooking a wide, crescent-shaped sandy beach and the South China Sea. The remainder has vistas
over the surrounding National Park.
A 6,780 sqm Spa Retreat that encompasses a spa with eight treatment pavilions, a fitness centre
offering the Kinesis line of exercise equipment, a reflex zone for traditional massages and
foot reflexology, a relaxation area with deck lounges, steam room and sauna, and a tea lounge.
Other facilities include six restaurants and bars, a 3,800 sqm resort pool, two tennis
courts, Kidz Paradise, and a one-stop Yalong Bay Adventure Club. The resort also features a detached all-inclusive MICE Pavilion that offers
extensive meeting and banquet facilities, more than 3,000 sqm of space in two storeys as well as two spacious outdoor event lawns.
