Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Thursday, 10 July 2008

AirAsia has opened its new sales office in one of the busiest areas of downtown Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Sporting a trendy look, the new office was modeled after the success of other AirAsia sales offices in major cities around the region.

The opening of AirAsia new sales office will supplement the popular online services already offered by the airline's website. It offers an easy booking channel and flexible payment method for passengers, who can either pay for their bookings in cash or by credit card.

Mr Tassapon Bijleveld, Chief Executive Officer of Thai AirAsia, said, “It is a pleasure for us at AirAsia to provide easy accessibility and truly low fares to the people of Ho Chi Minh City. Our location in the heart of an area favored by local and foreign travelers makes it convenient for all to visit us and book seats. We expect our low fares to continue to attract guests from all sectors to fly with us within the region and thus boost tourism and stimulate local economies between Vietnam and Thailand.”

“The opening of the new office will support our goal of making Vietnam among the strongest players in our route network as well as allow us to nurture our growth in this market. Only three months since the commencement of the Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh in April this year, we have already recorded a strong load factor of 87%. In fact, the load increased to 90% in June 2008,” Mr Bijleveld added.

The AirAsia sales office is at 254 De Tham Street, P. Pham Ngu Lao, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and is open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. Travellers can contact the sales office +84 - 838 9810 / 11.
