signature events and we look forward to a long-lasting partnership.”
The
Three “Fs” –
Fundraising, Fashion and Fun
Fundraising:
Since 2002, Emirates has used the Emirates Singapore Derby as a platform to raise funds for charity. This year, the 13th Emirates Singapore
Derby is poised to set a new fundraising record of Sin$150,000 for four voluntary welfare organisations under the umbrella of the Community
Chest of Singapore.
Fundraising initiatives include the pre-sale of donation tables in the hospitality rooms to corporate and private donors, and the auction of a
commemorative painting specially created by local renowned artist Francis Kwok.
Fashion:
The Emirates Singapore Derby may be known for its exciting on-track action, but for many, it is seen as the epitome of racing fashion in
Singapore. On Derby Day, guests come dressed in their best racing outfits and compete for the hotly-anticipated “Best Dressed to the
Races” contest. This year’s winner will have the privilege of attending the Emirates Melbourne Cup in November, courtesy of Emirates, and
have the opportunity of competing in the Cup’s “Fashion on the Fields” contest.
Fun:
Emirates and the Singapore Turf Club will also be organizing a “Guess the Emirates Singapore Derby Winner SMS contest”, giving away
two Economy Class tickets to Dubai and Sin$1,000 cash.
On Derby Day, Emirates has prepared a series of
activities accompanied by an exciting galore of prizes. Besides the “Best Dressed
to the Races” contest and auction, guests will also get to participate in games, contests and lucky draws.
Extending the excitement and buzz of the 13th Emirates Singapore Derby into the public stands, general race-goers will be treated to
