InterContinental Hotels Group
has appointed Mr. Pal Ipacs as its new Director of Revenue Management in the Middle East and Africa.
His responsibilities will include developing pricing structures and revenue management strategies across all five of IHG's hotel brands in the
Middle East & Africa - InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, Express by Holiday Inn and the newly launched
Staybridge Suites.
Ipacs began his hospitality career over 13 years ago in Budapest, Hungary, as Director of Room Reservations for an international
hotel chain. After four years he moved to a property in Warsaw before embarking on a career in the Middle East after being promoted to Country
Director of Revenue Management for Jordan.
In 2001 Ipacs was again promoted to Director of Market Strategy for Dubai and Doha Marriott
International, before accepting the role of Area
Director of Revenue Strategy, Middle East and Africa, a position he held for five years.
Ipacs has participated in several professional training courses including revenue analysis, negotiation, revenue management, revenue
maximisation and business evaluation, all of which he is a certified trainer. He is also an avid squash player.
