InterContinental Hotels
Group has appointed Simon Morley as the new Resident Manager of the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat,
Oman.
Morley,
who has 15 years experience in the industry began his career with the group in 2001 as Front Office Manager at InterContinental Al Ain in
the UAE and later moved to the Crowne Plaza Dubai in 2003 as Revenue Manager. In
2004 he was promoted to Area Revenue Manager, InterContinental Hotels Group, Australia, where he managed all aspects of revenue generation across several properties.
Simon Morley returns to the Middle East
and Africa division from the Grand InterContinental Seoul, Korea, where he was the Executive
Assistant Manager. While in this position, Morley managed a team of 280 staff members, led several hotel projects through to execution, and
significantly increased revenues.
Morley joins the Al
Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat as the iconic property undergoes a dramatic renovation.
Nestled in an Omani mountain range, the hotel's unique location is awe-inspiring and the already stunning property and surroundings will
be improved even further by the renovation project.
Morley, who won a General Managers award in 2000, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Hawaii.
