Stephen F. Bollenbach, Co-Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Hilton Hotels Corporation, will
receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific
(HICAP), to be held 10-12 October 2007, at the InterContinental Hong Kong.
Potential recipients are nominated and voted on each year by a special committee, with the Award
presented to an hotel industry leader who has made a considerable difference in the hotel industry in
the Asia Pacific region and in the world through positive actions and significant contributions.
Since joining Hilton, Bollenbach has overseen a complete transformation of the company including
the acquisition of Bally Entertainment, which made Hilton one of the world's largest gaming
companies, and
the acquisition of some $1.5 billion of hotel real estate in markets with high barriers to entry. He also
spun off Hilton's gaming operations in a tax-free transaction to shareholders to form Park Place
Entertainment (formerly Caesars Entertainment, Inc., now Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.) and acquired
Promus Hotel Corporation. The Promus acquisition added 1,400 hotels and several well-known hospitality brands including Doubletree,
Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton and Homewood Suites by Hilton to Hilton's portfolio of outstanding properties. In 2006, the company
acquired the lodging assets of Hilton Group, plc, re-uniting the Hilton brand for the first time in over 40 years and making Hilton Hotels
Corporation the world's largest hotel company.
The Hilton Family of Hotels now includes 2,800 hotels with 485,000 rooms and 150,000 team members in 80 countries.
