The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is marking the beginning of 2006 by welcoming visitors with a fresh Discover Hong Kong Year face.
This new look, which ranges
from staff uniforms to welcoming signboards, is designed to reflect Hong Kong’s diverse and dynamic image. It can be found at all contact points with tourists, from the
HKTB’s own Visitor Information and Services Centres, to special decorations at retail and dining merchants in major tourist areas.
To
help build the excitement of 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year, special welcome signs greet visitors at Hong Kong International Airport.
Decked out in stylish new uniforms, the HKTB’s Visitor Services staff usher in the New Year by greeting visitors and distributing 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year
welcome packs containing information leaflets, the Hong Kong Bonus Guide booklet packed with tailor-made offers for visitors, as well as a special souvenir, at major
ports of entry. Created by leading Hong Kong designer William Tang, the uniforms combine Chinese and contemporary elements to project both the traditional and
vibrant images of the city, which serve as a cornerstone to the 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year campaign.
Retail and dining merchants, as well as major food districts, are lending their
support to the 2006 Discover Hong Kong Year campaign by showcasing new experiences to visitors.
