Groups can now use three of oneworld’s most popular
fares.
The ticket types eligible for group travel are the round-the-world oneworld Explorer and the two
Circle passes which enable passengers to fly to the other side of the world and back without
actually circumnavigating the globe.
They can be used by parties of between 10 and 30 passengers in Economy class or between 10
and 15 in Business class.
oneworld Explorer
bases its pricing on the number of continents visited, rather than the exact mileage flown. This
makes planning trips realtively easy and flexible.
Two versions
of oneworld Circle Fares are available – for exploring the continents bordering the Pacific Ocean or
seeing Africa in conjunction with two other oneworld continents.
All three of these fares feature flights on all the alliance’s eight existing member airlines and their
12 affiliates, who serve more than 600 destinations in some 135 countries. This network will be
expanded by almost another hundred destinations in 2007, when three more airlines join the group.
oneworld’s members include: Aer
Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, LAN and Qantas. Japan Airlines, Malév and Royal Jordanian will be joining in early
2007.
Because of the nature of these products, on-line bookings are not currently available.
