Singapore Airlines today starts it thrice-weekly Boeing 777 service to Moscow, capital of the Russian Federation.
One of the world’s greatest and oldest cities, 859 year-old Moscow is at the centre of growth in commercial links between the Russian Federation
and markets in South East Asia and South West Pacific. Despite modernization, the city retains its old-world charm and unique character thanks to
landmarks such as the Kremlin. It also has some of the world’s most beautiful churches, monuments and architectural artifacts. Other major
attractions are The Bolshoi Theatre, Gorky Park, St Basil’s Cathedral and Lenin’s Mausoleum in Red Square.
The new service will make Moscow more accessible and help enhance the city’s reputation as a major European hub and tourist attraction among
customers in South East Asia and South West Pacific.
“Russia’s rapidly growing economy and increasing disposable income will boost travel and trade between Russia and Singapore and beyond
through the Singapore Changi Airport hub. We look forward to serving Russia by providing links not only between our two countries but also
between South East Asia, South West Pacific and other key markets,” commented Mr Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines’ Executive Vice
President Marketing and the Regions.
