Phuket’s international boatshow (PIMEX), now in its fourth year, recorded 2,500 visitors – a record for the show – during its first two days.
The show concluded yesterday, Sunday, 10 December
“We believe that the PIMEX Bangkok Preview in October, our strong media
campaign aimed at Phuket expatriates and the increasing international recognition for the show have combined to push up the number of
visitors,” said PIMEX organiser Andy Dowden.
The first day of the show saw two boats sold – a Gulfcraft and a Riviera M360 Sport Cruiser – and a reservation on a luxury villa by Serenity
Terraces.
Most exhibitors reported brisk business, especially on the show’s opening day, with an unusually high proportion of prospective buyers in
attendance.

- Lee Marine signs Singapore deal at PIMEX
Taking advantage of the upbeat mood at PIMEX 2006, Lee Marine’s Joshua
Lee and Riviera’s Ben Dogget finalized an exclusive dealership agreement for Singapore.
The
deal was finalized the day after Lee Marine sold a new Riviera M360 Sport Cruiser to a Thailand-based expatriate on the first day of
PIMEX. This will be the first Riviera to be based in the Gulf of Thailand and is the first ever M360 sold into the kingdom.
Lee Marine, one of the region’s biggest yacht brokerage and dealerships, was founded in 1997. “Singapore is a strategic move for our
company,” said Lee, “We are thrilled to announce this appointment leading into our 10th year anniversary in
2007.”
