Accor opens Novotel Balikpapan in East Kalimantan

Accor is celebrating the opening of the Novotel Balikpapan, in East Kalimantan's second largest city, with a special opening rate of Rp 579,000 (US$64) a night until 8 January, 2007 (peak holiday season surcharges may apply).

The 198-room Novotel is located in Balikpapan's fastest growing commercial centre, slightly elevated on a hillside offering views of the city and beachfront which is only 200 metres from the hotel. The property is less than 20 minutes drive to the airport or the city's famed harbor, 15 minutes to the nearest golf course and less than 5 minutes to the main shopping district.

The Novotel Balikpapan will cater to East Kalimantan's important timber, mining and petroleum industries.

The hotel features two food & beverage outlets, including Novotel's signature 'The Square' restaurant, swimming pool, fitness centre, Dolfi's Kids Club and Karaoke Bar. The hotel will also fill an important niche for regional MICE planners, offering flexible meeting space for up to 1,200 delegates.
