Rezidor SAS
Hospitality is to launch its new Park Inn brand into Ireland. The mid-market,
no-fuss hotel chain will open in the country with Park Inn Dundalk and Park Inn
Mulranny.
Kurt Ritter, President and CEO, Rezidor SAS Hospitality,
said, “Ireland is an important growth market for Rezidor SAS and following the success of our first-class brand,
Radisson SAS, the introduction of Park Inn is a logical step forward. With our aim to develop 700 hotels by 2012, Park Inn will be our main growth brand and we expect to
have 150 hotels in operation and under construction by the end of 2006.”
Park Inn Dundalk is located just outside Dundalk city centre, off the main Dublin to Belfast motorway. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the renowned Cooley
Mountains, the hotel will offer a total of 84 bedrooms. An ideal business location, the hotel will have three conference rooms, the largest of which can
accommodate up to 400 people. Fitness facilities will include a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool and an outdoor sporting complex. The Carnbeg Golf Course, which is
fast gaining a reputation as one of the finest inland courses in the area, is close by.
Also opening next month, Park Inn Mulranny, on the west coast of Ireland in County Mayo, features breathtaking views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel will
boast 80 well-designed and comfortable guest rooms, a stunning restaurant and inviting lounge, three banquet/meeting rooms and a large leisure facility including an
indoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub.
The Park Inn brand has ambitious development plans and is set for extensive worldwide growth in capital cities and regional gateways. The launch in Ireland closely
follows its introduction into the Middle East, with the recent announcement of Park Inn Olaya, Riyadh and Park Inn Al Khobar, both in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Park Inn Olaya, Riyadh is scheduled to open in mid 2007. The property will feature 212
guestrooms, as well as one restaurant serving a variety of Mediterranean and international cuisine.
Al Khobar is one of the largest towns in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia and is the centre of the area’s import-export activity. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in
the first quarter of 2007, will be conveniently close to the main highway between Al Khobar and neighbouring Dammam. The 148 rooms will overlook the blue waters of
the Persian Gulf and the town’s majestic harbour.
