Six Senses Spas opens first European spa with The Spa by Six Senses Spas at Hotel Arts Barcelona

Six Senses Spas has opened its first spa in Europe at the prestigious Hotel Arts Barcelona, bringing a sophisticated city spa experience for guests of the hotel and city residents.

A unique sense of place is afforded from the stunning location on the 42 and 43rd floors of the hotel with views over the Mediterranean. A sense of well-being and relaxation is enhanced by the natural elements incorporated into the Spa experience. The local elements of sunlight and water are captured in the treatments offered by The Spa.

The Spa experience offers guests the opportunity to de-stress with one of the many relaxing massages, personal rejuvenation and revitalization through holistic healing and well-being, and specially designed aromatherapy pampering administered by therapists who embrace the philosophy of Balancing Senses.

The treatments available include the exclusive Hotel Arts The Art of Stone therapy, as well as the signature Six Senses Sensory Journey – administered by two skilled therapists over almost three hours. Co-branded Six Senses Sodashi natural products are used in the face and body treatments at the Spa. Aromatherapy and beauty services are also available by appointment. 

Chromotherapy - colour therapy based on the premise that certain colours are infused with healing energies, is incorporated in all of the treatment rooms and the steam rooms. The therapy uses six individual colours to promote balance and healing in the mind and body.

The Spa is distributed over the two topmost floors on the sea-facing façade of the hotel, and includes separate ladies and gentlemen’s wet areas with Klafs sauna and steam rooms, vitality pools and ice fountains. The saunas have breathtaking views from the window wall that overlooks the sea. Two outdoor terraces adjacent to the relaxation area can be used throughout the year.
