Radisson SAS Hotels &
Resorts will make a come-back to Dubai in December with the opening of its
‘New Breed’ four-star property in the heart of the emirate’s emerging global media hub.
Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City,
a newly constructed property, will have 246 individually-designed contemporary style rooms, including five luxurious suites equipped with Wireless Internet Access
(WiFi).
“Dubai continues to grow in stature as a regional business and leisure hub and it’s important that Radisson SAS is part of that,”
said Jean-Marc Busato, Vice President
Middle East, Rezidor SAS Hospitality.
“New breed hotels incorporate all the Radisson SAS values, including the ‘Yes I Can’ spirit of service that is synonymous with the brand, with the addition of
technologically advanced facilities and a contemporary design ethos. The Media City property fits the profile perfectly and gives us the ideal opportunity to introduce the
concept to the Middle East” Busato added.
The Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai Media City will have two towers linked by a first floor bridge. The first tower is set to open next month and the second in mid 2006. The
design concept was created by Singapore-based IMA Interiors, which specialises in boutique hotels and high-end residential developments.
The hotel will have three restaurants and four bars. Certo, the Italian restaurant will serve a selection of antipasti, home-made pasta and pizzas from a traditional wood
fired oven. Mandalay will include the vibrant Jade bar which will offer Asian cuisine while Chef’s House will be a casual all day dining restaurant and the Icon bar will
provide a daily ‘tapas’ menu. The Media Lounge will serve a selection of coffee, fine pastries and juices in the day and aperitifs or cocktails at night and will
provide free internet access. The Tamanya Terrace will be a roof-top bar.
“Individually-designed themed rooms and a new focus on innovative architecture as well as stylish bars and restaurants are the cornerstones of the new breed
properties,” said Siegfried Nierhaus, General Manager, Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City.
“And with ten meeting rooms, an executive lounge and a fully equipped business centre, the hotel will have all the necessary services for international corporate
travellers coming to Dubai. We’re forecasting an occupancy rate of 80% in 2006.”
The first tower’s leisure facilities include a wellness centre with five Euro-Asian themed massage rooms, steam bath and outdoor swimming pool as well as a
state-of-the-art gym. The second tower will also have an outdoor rooftop swimming pool with an open bar.
