Radisson SAS Taba introduces new leisure activities

Travel News Asia 13 April 2005

The Radisson SAS Resort, Taba, is introducing a variety of new activities for guests. The hotel, located on the banks of the Red Sea, overlooking the majestic Sinai Mountains, now offers a wide range of water sports activities and entertainment, in cooperation with the Red Sea Waterworld Diving Centre.

The resort features 345 rooms and an extensive choice of restaurants inside and outdoors. The two swimming pools, along with the kids’ pool and club, give parents a chance to enjoy the relaxing spa facilities while ensuring their children are in safe, capable hands. In addition, the beach resort will soon be able to offer horseback riding, quad biking, archery and games on a multipurpose court.

“We have added these additional leisure activities in an effort to add more value to our guests’ holiday by offering more fun for both the young kids and grown ups,” said Johan Aschan, General Manager, Radisson SAS Resort, Taba.

PADI-certified scuba divers will also have the opportunity to enjoy the underwater world from a whole new perspective with a National Geographic Dive Course. This programme is more comprehensive and detailed than regular Open Water courses, as it provides adventure, discovery and exploration, as well as tuition on the importance of aquatic conservation.

The Red Sea resort is located south of Taba on Egypt’s booming Sinai Riviera, close to the new exciting developments in Taba Heights, including an 18–hole championship golf course due to open later this year. The front nine holes are expected to open in June and the other half later in the year. In addition, Taba Heights Marina is to operate a hovercraft service between Taba and Aqaba, Jordan, which will make the popular trip to the ancient city of Petra even more accessible and enjoyable.
