KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
is to launch codeshare operations with Portugália Airlines (PGA), Portugal’s second largest carrier. This form of cooperation will enable KLM to
add Oporto to its route network from Amsterdam and strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding Portuguese market.
With effect from next week, KLM will be able to offer its passengers the opportunity of traveling to the Portuguese city and port of Oporto under a KL flight number,
based on a codeshare agreement with PGA on its daily service between Amsterdam and
Oporto.
Portugália Airlines will be conducting codeshare operations on KLM’s scheduled service between Lisbon and Amsterdam.
The Portuguese carrier already operates under codeshare agreements with Air France and the Spanish carrier Air
Europa.
