This
week Hawaiian Airlines launched its new Honolulu – Las Vegas flights.
The new services departs Honolulu at 2.15pm, providing a convenient connection for passengers from Sydney, who arrive at 11.10am.
The afternoon flights are also perfect for Australians wanting to visit Hawaii and Las Vegas in the same trip, said Scott Cammell, Sales and Marketing Manager Australia
for Hawaiian Airlines.
“Since we started services from Sydney to Honolulu in May 2004, Hawaii has come back into vogue for Australian travellers,” said Mr Cammell. “With our new flights to
Las Vegas, we now offer the opportunity to combine two of the most popular American destinations into one holiday.”
By travelling to Las Vegas via Hawaii, Australian travellers can clear US customs in Honolulu at an off-peak time, instead of having to do so in the busy international
gateways on the mainland.
And for those already holidaying in Hawaii, the new Las Vegas services are domestic flights, requiring no additional Customs clearance in Honolulu.
“Our convenient mid-afternoon departures mean those staying in Honolulu can spend the morning shopping, surfing, sightseeing or just lying by the pool, before going
to the airport for the flight to Las Vegas,” said Mr Cammell.
“The mid-afternoon flight also enables those staying on neighbour islands to fly to Honolulu during the morning to connect with the Las Vegas service,” he said.
“And our 10.45pm arrival in Las Vegas is perfect for those wanting to check into their hotel and get out to explore the town after a restful flight from Hawaii.”
The new services between Honolulu and Las Vegas are operated with Hawaiian’s Boeing 767-300 twinjets.
