When
people think of Cannes in Southern France, they think of the rich and
famous, of massive yachts and of course the infamous red carpet during
the annual Film Festival. Cannes is much more though than an annual
stopover for the movie world's famous celebrities.
The
beach in Cannes is very beautiful, and the town is of classic French
architecture. Cannes offers everything any traveller could want and can
fit, most of the time at least, into any budget. The best hotels in
Cannes are mostly found along the beach road, La Croisette, and many have their own
private section of beach which is only for hotel guests. Most hotels in
Cannes have many different rates depending on the time of year, and due
to the enormous amount of people who travel there during the Film
Festival they have a very expensive rate just for then. In fact if you
are on a budget the Film Festival period is one to avoid! Some
hotels in Cannes we recommend: Majestic
- Faces the Mediterranean and The Palais des Festivals. The
Majestic is quite simply that - Majestic. It is one of the most famous
hotels in Cannes and is packed full during the Film Festival. Check

Hilton Cannes - A very modern but extremely well appointed hotel
right in the heart of the Croisette. Some of the rooms offer exceptional
views of the beach but any room is more than comfortable and the hotel
has some great facilities. Check
